The Atlanta Falcons have to address their quarterback situation this offseason.
Most analysts have them going after Justin Fields, which makes sense, as he’s a Georgia native, will be available, and is still young and with a high upside.
He’s also a good fit for the pieces they have.
Nonetheless, they could also look to pursue a younger player and have him on a rookie contract for years to come.
Talking on ESPN’s Get Up, NFL analyst Mike Tannenbaum claimed that the Falcons should pursue Jayden Daniels instead.

Of course, they would have to trade up to get the LSU standout.
Still, he thinks the New England Patriots, and more specifically Jerod Mayo, still have faith in Mac Jones, so they could be tempted to trade down to the No. 8 spot if the Falcons give them a future first-round pick.
Tannenbaum argues that Daniels would be a tailor-made fit for the Falcons and their skill players, and it’s obviously hard to argue with that statement.
Daniels excelled as a dual-threat quarterback during his days with the Tigers, and he’d be deadly next to Bijan Robinson.
Now, whether the Patriots are actually looking forward to bringing Jones back after what has transpired over the past couple of years remains to be seen.
The Falcons need to explore all their options and do their due diligence to make sure things work out for them this time.
They cannot afford another swing and miss at the quarterback position, especially with so much talent at other skill positions.
