The Cleveland Browns were dealt a massive blow during the 2023 NFL regular season when star quarterback Deshaun Watson went down with a season-ending shoulder injury.
The season-ending injury to the quarterback that the team spent an enormous amount of money on to bring in and help lead them to the Super Bowl was thought to send the season into a downward spiral.
Fortunately for Cleveland, the team was able to stay afloat despite a revolving door at the quarterback position, as the Browns had arguably the best defense in the league, led by star defensive end Myles Garrett.
Even though veteran quarterback Joe Flacco was able to help the team get into the NFL playoffs, Cleveland fell flat in the first round, and now the team hopes Watson makes a quick recovery in order to get ready for the 2024 campaign.
It seems that Watson is currently on the right track in his recovery, as he will reportedly start throwing again next month, according to ProFootballTalk.

Even though Watson hasn’t been the bona fide superstar quarterback the team was hoping for when it went all-in to bring him to Cleveland, the Browns know they need him to make the next step in the postseason, or it could be more of the same from season to season.
At this point in time, the Browns simply hope to keep Watson healthy enough to get through the regular season to get to the postseason, which appears to be a challenge in itself.
