After five games with the New York Jets, wide receiver Mecole Hardman had recorded only one reception for six yards and was considered a resounding disappointment as one of the team’s significant offseason acquisitions.
Fortunately for Hardman, he was able to resurrect his career back where it started, with the Jets agreeing to trade the wide receiver to the Kansas City Chiefs ahead of the NFL trade deadline.
Although it was uncertain whether Hardman could reclaim his form with the Chiefs, he ultimately came through in the biggest moment for the team that drafted him back in 2019.
Hardman caught three passes from superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes for 57 yards and a touchdown in the Super Bowl to help the Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers in overtime.
With Hardman coming through at just the right time for the Chiefs, he’s now reaping the benefits with a sponsorship with Raising Cane’s, which he was helping serve some chicken fingers recently, as he shown on his Twitter account.
I had a blast serving up game winning Chicken Fingers with the crew in the @raisingcanes Drive Thru! Huge thank you to all the Kansas City fans who showed up! #caniacambassador pic.twitter.com/a8BiEqc92i

After a disastrous start to the 2023 campaign, Hardman couldn’t have finished the year in a better way, as a game-winning catch in the Super Bowl is about as good as it gets.
As a result, Hardman now has two Super Bowl titles to his credit and may have set himself up for a promising future in the NFL.
With the Chiefs needing as much firepower as they can get at wide receiver, Hardman could have a long-term home in Kansas City after helping the team win a third Super Bowl in the Mahomes era.
