The New York Giants spent some big bucks on Daniel Jones.
He had a promising one year under HC Brian Daboll, and it seemed like he could continue his development, with fans hoping he’d become something similar to Josh Allen.
However, the early returns of his new contract were far from encouraging.
He regressed greatly from his career-best season, and the team’s offense looked much better when he was out with injuries.
And now that he’s suffered another injury, NFL insider Pat Leonard reports that the Giants may have lost faith in him already (Via WBG84).
” I personally do not think that the Giants, privately, have faith in Daniel Jones to be more than what he is,” Leonard said.

Pat Leonard explains that he believes people inside the Giants organization don’t have a lot of hope for Jones to become much more than he is.
He says that the team must assess whether making a long-term commitment to him is worth it, considering his multiple neck injuries.
The Giants drew plenty of criticism for the deal they gave him, especially considering that led them to place star RB Saquon Barkley under the franchise tag.
Nonetheless, they still have multiple opportunities to move on from the Duke product because of the structure of the deal.
Jones could miss some of the upcoming campaign, so the Giants will have several opportunities to test the waters and take a look at their offense with another quarterback.
If things run smoothly while he’s on the shelf, don’t be shocked if Jones is no longer a Giant by the end of the season.
