The Dallas Cowboys are once again the talk of the NFL offseason after they came up short in the playoffs.
Dallas lost to the Green Bay Packers, 48-32, in the Wild Card round in a game that was not competitive.
That loss should open the eyes of the Cowboys front office to prove they need to make some changes.
Cowboys owner/GM Jerry Jones said the team is going “all-in” for the 2024 season.
If that is the case they should be aggressive in making moves in free agency.
Former Cowboys defensive lineman Marcus Spears was asked if the Cowboys are good enough to win the Super Bowl, and did not hold back.
“Dallas sits pat every free agency and they try to sell these moves,” Spears said as he was speaking out against the team’s chances.
I asked @mspears96 if this version of the Cowboys can win the Super Bowl. He went IN on roster construction. “Dallas sits pat every free agency and they try to sell these moves.”

Spears pointed out how the Cowboys’ roster was lacking in certain areas.
One of those areas was at linebacker.
Dallas had a time last season when they were using converted safeties to play linebacker.
While they got away with it for a while it ended up hurting them against the good teams.
Spears also mentioned how the Cowboys sit pat every offseason and make no moves to get better.
Their unwillingness to spend in free agency has hampered them for years.
Despite having some very good players, the Cowboys do not value certain positions.
They have been unable to find a run-stuffing defensive tackle and they rarely invest capital in linebackers.
Spears knows the ins and outs of the Cowboys, being a former player.
They have a lot of work to do this offseason if they are serious about making a run to the Super Bowl.
