The 2023 offseason was interesting for Saquon Barkley and the New York Giants.
There seemed to be a lot of frustration between the two sides, and they were ultimately unable to make a decision on a long-term contract.
Barkley was ultimately tagged, tying him to the team for one more season, but leaving his future hanging in the balance.
Because of these unknowns, many fans and analysts believe Barkley will be on a new roster to start the 2024 season.
In a segment of The Carton Show, Willie Colon indicated that Barkley should find a team that truly embraces him, saying, “It’s either Houston or the Chargers.”
“Saquon needs to go somewhere that’s best fit for Saquon. It’s either Houston or the Chargers.”

At first glance, either of these teams could be a potentially good fit for Barkley.
After Dameon Pierce’s rookie campaign, the Houston Texans seemed to be set at the position, but his 2023 performance left something to be desired.
Barkley could join a team that made the playoffs this year, hoping to be the missing piece they were looking for to hopefully make a deeper postseason run.
While the Los Angeles Chargers didn’t make the playoffs this year, they have a lot going for them.
They have a brand-new head coach, and with Justin Herbert at the helm, many believe this team has the potential to be among the most potent offenses in the league.
Austin Ekeler is also struggling to get the contract extension he is in search of from this team, and if the Chargers want to go with a slightly younger player at the position, they could pivot to Barkley.
