The New Orleans Saints are in desperate need of an offensive boost.
Derek Carr’s first season in the Big Easy was rather disappointing, and it cost OC Pete Carmichael Jr. his job.
The Saints’ offense seemed outdated and stagnant at times, and they failed to make the most of the playmakers they had.
With that in mind, HC Dennis Allen made sure to bring in the right guy, hiring former San Francisco 49ers passing game coordinator Klint Kubiak to be their next offensive coordinator.
Recently, Allen showered Kubiak with praise, talking about how he can put the players in the best position to succeed (Via Ian Rapoport).
“I felt like Klint Kubiak was obviously the person of choice,” Allen said. “I feel like this is the best scheme that gives your players the best chance to have success that’s going in the National Football League right now.”

Kubiak comes with an NFL pedigree.
He’s the son of former Super Bowl-winning Denver Broncos’ head coach Gary Kubiak, and he’s definitely earned his stripes in the league.
Kubiak’s offense should help unleash Carr’s best traits in his second season with the organization, and we should expect a significant leap from promising wideout Chris Olave as well.
Otherwise, it wouldn’t be shocking to see the team go in a different direction if things go south and they miss the playoffs.
