The Denver Broncos and Russell Wilson need to put an end to their partnership.
His two-year tenure at Mile High has done little to help his image, and his reputation has taken a big hit since he left Seattle.
Some analysts are talking about how he’s no longer a starting-caliber player in the league, and some fans believe he shouldn’t even be in the league anymore.
With that in mind, Robert Griffin III took to Twitter to voice his support for his colleague.
The former quarterback stated that he had never seen people bash a former Super Bowl champion who’s just fresh of throwing 26 touchdowns against eight interceptions with a 66.4% completion percentage and a 98.0 passer rating.
“Stop with the Russell Wilson slander. I have never heard anyone question the leadership, ability to be a starter or even be in the NFL of a Super Bowl winning QB coming off these numbers before,” Griffin said.

Of course, it’s worth stating that Wilson hasn’t been at his best over the past couple of years, but he’s not the only one to blame for the Broncos’ shortcomings.
Nathaniel Hackett failed to prepare the team, and the defense struggled mightily throughout the first half of the first season under Sean Payton.
Even so, we’re talking about a guy who was a perennial MVP candidate not so long ago, a bona fide leader, and a Super Bowl champion.
It’s time that his detractors put some more respect to his name.
Hopefully, he’ll use this as fuel and motivation and will come back stronger than ever next season.
