The Atlanta Falcons have spent the past three seasons loading up on offensive talent.
They drafted Kyle Pitts with the No. 4 pick in the 2021 draft, Drake London with the No. 8 pick in the 2022 draft, and Bijan Robinson with the No. 8 pick in the 2023 draft.
With all of this high-caliber talent, the Falcons thought they would find better success, but still finished the 2023 season with a 7-10 record.
This caused them to move on from head coach Arthur Smith, which, along with other changes, should make them a better team in 2024.
While this team’s ultimate goal is to have a better record, one of their youngest players has a personal goal in mind.
Robinson recently spoke with Sports Illustrated, where he said, “I want 2,000 yards rushing” in 2024.

He was one of the most dynamic offensive rookies in the NFL in 2023, but his numbers didn’t necessarily jump off the page.
Robinson rushed for 976 yards and four touchdowns in Year 1, adding 58 receptions for 487 yards, also scoring four touchdowns through the air.
It is believed that Robinson wasn’t used to his fullest potential last year, and when given the proper opportunity, he believes he can thrive, hopefully gaining at least 2,000 yards on the ground.
While his new head coach, Raheem Morris, has typically been focused on the defensive side of the ball, confidence is growing in him to make great decisions regarding the usage of his best skill-position players, including Robinson.
If given the opportunity, Robinson might be able to reach his goal of rushing for 2,000 yards in 2024.
