The Texas Rangers are the reigning World Series champions.
Against all odds and despite Jacob deGrom being out for most of the season and Corey Seager losing significant playing time due to injury, they were able to overcome all obstacles and lift, for the first time in franchise history, the World Series trophy.
An important part of their victory can be explained by their amazing offense.
Their pitching wasn’t bad, but certainly not as brilliant as those nine players hitting the cover off the ball night in and night out.
For the first time in months, the Rangers are returning to the field to play a game against another MLB opponent.
At 3:05 p.m. ET on Friday, the Rangers will make their spring debut against the new-look Kansas City Royals at Surprise Stadium in Surprise, Arizona.
The effective Dane Dunning will be taking the mound for the champions.
The lineup?

There is no Seager or Josh Jung (out with a calf strain), but the unit looks good nonetheless.
It is led by Marcus Semien, who scored 129 runs last year with 40 doubles, 29 home runs, and 100 RBI.
It also has impressive rookie Wyatt Langford, who was picked in the top five in last year’s MLB Draft.
He may or may not make the team out of camp, but even if he doesn’t, he is a good bet to debut this season.
The Rangers had the third-best offense in MLB when it comes to runs scored last year.
There is no reason to think things will be any different this year, with most of their stars in their prime or starting their careers.
