The 2024 NFL Draft is almost two months away, with all the speculation, as usual, surrounding the top-tier quarterbacks that have declared for the draft.
Although the bulk of the attention has been directed at USC’s Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears, who have the No. 1 overall pick, the draft also has two other intriguing prospects in Drake Maye out of the University of North Carolina and Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels from LSU.
At this point in time, it’s anyone’s guess which quarterback will be taken after Williams, who everyone believes will go at No. 1 to the Bears, while Daniels and Maye could go No. 2 to the Washington Commanders, who also need a franchise quarterback.
With two months to go before the Bears are on the clock at No. 1, ESPN’s Herm Edwards has some high praise for Daniels, as he believes that no moment is too big for the incoming rookie quarterback, via NFL on ESPN.
“The moment is never too big for Jayden Daniels,” Edwards said. “The bigger the moment you can anticipate, he’s going to find a way to make a play.”

One of the biggest questions marks for any rookie quarterback that comes into the NFL is whether they can play well under pressure and how they perform in big moments.
If Edwards is right about Daniels, that will make him that much more desirable to teams that are looking for quarterbacks at the top of the draft like the Bears, Commanders, New England Patriots, New York Giants, Atlanta Falcons, and Minnesota Vikings.
