The Chicago Bears could be at a crossroads, as they could be on the verge of making some big moves.
They have the No. 1 pick in the upcoming draft, and it looks increasingly likely they will keep it and use it on a franchise quarterback while looking to trade incumbent signal-caller Justin Fields.
That quarterback Chicago is likely about to draft will be working with a new offensive assistant coach in Ryan Griffin, who will work with not just the team’s quarterbacks, but also it’s wide receivers, per Ari Meirov.

Griffin is a former NFL quarterback who appeared in two games for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the 2019 season.
Griffin is originally from Santa Monica, Calif. and played his college ball at Tulane University, where he threw for 9.026 yards and 56 touchdowns in four seasons.
Many people feel the Bears are on the verge of being a competitive team despite their 7-10 record in 2023 and that they mostly need a high-quality quarterback and perhaps an upgraded offensive line.
D.J. Moore was one of the NFL’s most productive wide receivers with 1,364 yards and eight touchdowns, while defensive lineman Montez Sweat, who was acquired at midseason from the Washington Commanders, provided such much-needed pressure up front.
The Bears haven’t won a playoff game since the 2010 season, but that drought could end not too long from now.
