Heading into the 2023 NFL regular season, the New York Jets were thought to be a legitimate Super Bowl title contender, with the team acquiring superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers in a blockbuster trade with the Green Bay Packers.
Everything seemed to be aligned for the Jets to make a run during the 2023 campaign, but then, on his first offensive series with the team, Rodgers tore his Achilles and missed the rest of the season, which was obviously a devastating blow for New York.
Without Rodgers leading the way under center, the Jets limped to a 7-10 record and missed the NFL playoffs entirely after thinking they had finally found the missing piece to the championship puzzle.
Fortunately for New York, Rodgers isn’t ready to call it quits, as he has made it clear that he intends to play during the 2024 NFL season, which obviously gives the team a significant upgrade at quarterback.
With Rodgers back in the fold, Craig Carton of FOX Sports believes the team will go the distance next season via The Carton Show.
“The Jets truly do have all of the pieces of a championship team,” Carton said. “Aaron Rodgers will do the unthinkable — lead the New York Jets to Super Bowl ,LIX where we will meet the San Francisco 49ers. The Chiefs’ reign is over!”

With the 2024 NFL Draft and NFL free agency in the immediate future, it is too early to predict who will win the Super Bowl, as a lot of moves have still yet to be made that could change the outlook for the 2024 campaign.
However, the Jets should be a better team with a healthy Rodgers back under center, but it remains to be seen how good this team will be, especially if they fail to address issues on their roster before next season.
