The Chicago Bears find themselves in a great situation for the second straight season.
They have the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft again this year, allowing them a choice of their favorite prospect in the class.
While many have suggested that the Bears should draft a quarterback and trade away Justin Fields, Peter King has suggested an alternate viewpoint.
King recently wrote a farewell retirement article, where he added, “I suppose the Bears are going to trade the top pick. I know nothing, but that seems to be the way the wind is blowing.”
The team at Unsportsmanlike Radio discussed this in further depth, breaking down what King said in his farewell message.

This is a viewpoint that counters what a lot of mainstream media is indicating.
The more common assertion is that the Bears will draft either Caleb Williams or Drake Maye, effectively moving on from Fields.
With King’s comments, it opens up an entirely new can of worms for the Bears.
They could be in the market to trade this pick away, hoping to get a similar haul to what they received last season from the Carolina Panthers.
If they trade out of the No. 1 pick, the Bears could pivot, either adding more draft pieces to complement Fields or feeling confident enough in the other quarterbacks in the class that will be available later in the draft.
There are a lot of factors to consider with this decision, one that the Bears will not take lightly over the next several weeks.
How will this situation shake out, and who will end up being the Bears’ day-one starter at quarterback in 2024?
