The Cincinnati Bengals have a big decision to make.
They’ve already spent a lot of money on Joe Burrow, and it won’t be long before they look to make Ja’Marr Chase the highest-paid wide receiver in the game.
With other players also lining up to get a new contract, they might not have enough cap space to keep WR Tee Higgins as well.
Most reports state that the team will use the franchise tag on the talented wideout.
However, that doesn’t mean they’re going to keep him.
According to a report by NFL insider Ari Meirov, the word around the league is that the Bengals could get a second or even a first-round pick for the 25-year-old wide receiver.
Several team executives believe the #Bengals could get a 1st-round pick or an early 2nd-round pick if they were to consider trading WR Tee Higgins.

Higgins is coming off a solid season despite losing five games and Burrow missing a lot of time, and he could legitimately become a No. 1 option somewhere else.
Multiple teams could also be in a position to offer him the long-term and big-money contract extension he’s looking to get, which doesn’t seem like a realistic possibility in Cincinnati for the time being.
Needless to say, losing him would be a big blow to the passing game, and moving on from him and offensive coordinator Brian Callahan in the same offseason could bode some trouble for Zac Taylor’s team.
Then again, the Bengals need to get creative to keep building their offense around their star QB-WR duo, and that often means making tough calls and parting ways with some very good players.
