Through four weeks, the San Francisco 49ers look like the best team in the NFC as they remain perfect record-wise.
The 49ers are coming off a resounding victory against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 4 and it’s hard to say they have many weaknesses given how well they’re playing.
Offensively, Christian McCaffrey has looked like the perfect star for Kyle Shanahan’s running back-friendly scheme while Brock Purdy is proving that his run toward the end of the 2022 NFL season was no fluke.
Shanahan named Purdy the starter a few weeks before the start of the 2023 NFL campaign and the second-year quarterback has displayed an impressive understanding of the system.

Holley’s of course biased when he compares Purdy to Dak Prescott, but he does have a point regarding the small sample size.
The San Francisco signal caller doesn’t have much experience under his belt and while the winning has been a pleasant outcome it remains to be seen how he’ll look in high-pressure moments.
Like the 49ers, the Cowboys also boast a talented team and it should be an exciting matchup when these two NFC titans clash.
