The NFL Combine is almost here, an event that fans have been highly anticipating since the season concluded.
There has been very little league activity since the Super Bowl wrapped up, so the Combine is a great opportunity to take a look at the future of the NFL.
Ahead of the combine, many analysts have worked hard to detail their predictions for this event, even comparing participants to former NFL athletes.
Dan Orlovsky recently tried his hand at the comparison game, likening Malik Nabers to a “taller Steve Smith Sr.”
“Nabers is a taller Steve Smith Sr,” Orlovsky said.

This is high praise about Nabers from Orlovsky, considering Smith was a great player throughout his time in the league.
Can Nabers live up to the hype?
He was a dominant player at LSU, as his 3,003 career receiving yards are a school record.
When considering that LSU has seen some great players leave their campus over the years, this should speak positively about Nabers’ chances of success in the NFL.
He is viewed as a likely top-15 pick by many analysts, but if his pro comparison is Smith, as Orlovsky indicates, he could be drafted even higher.
This year’s class of prospects is loaded with talent, especially on the offensive side of the ball.
With the sheer amount of good players in this talent pool, it could be hard for receivers and tight ends to differentiate themselves.
Hopefully, the Combine and upcoming Pro Days will make team’s decisions much easier, as they get two more good looks at these players.
