The New England Patriots had a terrible season, but at least it could all pay off very soon.
They now have the No. 3 pick in the NFL Draft, and judging by the projected top 4 selections, they could land a generational talent.
Nonetheless, there’s been a big debate about what they should do with this selection.
Some believe getting Drake Maye out of UNC would be a no-brainer, and the same goes for Jayden Daniels if he falls to their laps at No. 3.
However, former Patriots QB Brian Hoyer isn’t so sure.
Talking on Good Morning Football, he made a case for Jerod Mayo sticking with Mac Jones, adding that he saw what he was capable of during his rookie season, and while things haven’t been good for him as of late, he still has faith in him and his talent.
He thinks the Patriots should go after Marvin Harrison Jr. instead.
“He seems to be a bigger faster version of his dad,” Hoyer said about Harrison.

He talked about him being a bigger and faster version of his Hall of Fame dad, and with the things he showed during his tenure at Ohio State, he looks like the real deal and one of the most complete and exciting prospects in recent times.
Some believe Harrison Jr. might be the best player in this class as a whole, so it would clearly make sense to get him.
Then again, with the way Jones played after his rookie season and after all that transpired, it doesn’t seem like keeping him is a realistic option for the first-year coach.
