The Baltimore Ravens are in a tough spot right now.
The team will have several key free agents and a tough time holding onto them, especially on the defensive side of the field.
However, one of their biggest decisions might be on offense.
They spent a lot of money to make sure Odell Beckham Jr. signed with them in the offseason, literally stealing him from the New York Jets.
He had an up-and-down season, and while he’s obviously a great talent, he wasn’t able to put up the level of production one would expect from a player with his salary.
With that in mind, GM Eric DeCosta claimed that he’s been in touch with him recently, adding that he’s become a close friend of him and of several people within the organization.
Nonetheless, as much as he would obviously love to have him back, he also acknowledged that they would have to figure some things out (via Sarah Ellison).
“Great, great guy. I love Odell. He’s become a great friend of mine and a friend to the Ravens. I think we’ll just assess and see what happens over the next couple of weeks,” DeCosta said.

Simply put, there’s no way the Ravens will spend big bucks to keep him, especially not after his underwhelming production.
OBJ would have to take a significant pay cut to stay in Baltimore.
That shouldn’t be much of a problem if he wants to stay, as he had agreed to play for a lot less when he was going to sign with the Jets.
Now, whether he’s going to run it back under Todd Monken’s offense or pursue a different opportunity to win another Super Bowl ring somewhere else remains to be seen.
