The Pittsburgh Steelers have one of the best head coaches in the game.
They have an elite defense anchored by one of the greatest defensive talents we’ve ever seen.
They also have some solid pieces on offense to build around.
On top of that, they have a loyal fan base that will follow them wherever they go and a history of success that sometimes scares rivals away.
What they don’t seem to have, however, is a quarterback.
That’s why Stephen A. Smith believes they should go after Justin Fields, Russell Wilson, or Kirk Cousins in the offseason.

“You cannot go into next season with Kenny Pickett zeroed in as your likely starter. That just cannot happen.” pic.twitter.com/gPNbPnXZnX

Talking on “First Take,” he stated that they simply cannot afford to go out there and compete with Joe Burrow, Lamar Jackson, and Deshaun Watson in their very own division with Kenny Pickett behind center.
Truth be told, Pickett has left a lot to be desired since entering the league, even though we have yet to see him under a different offensive coordinator.
Even so, the eye test and the stats have been far from impressive, and one can only wonder whether the Steelers could afford to give him another chance.
This team isn’t that far behind to become a legitimate Super Bowl contender with the pieces and the coach they have right now.
Patience is running out, and they haven’t been to the big game in ages, so perhaps it’s about time they make a big splash and look to get better at the most crucial position in the game once and for all.
