The Los Angeles Dodgers put together what is shaping up to be a historic team.
They already had Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman on board – both former MVP award winners – and now, they have added a third star in Shohei Ohtani.
Ohtani might be the best and most complete player ever to step on a baseball field, so you can imagine the Dodgers’ offense is insanely good.
For the first time since his signing was completed, LA will have all three players in the same lineup.
“#Dodgers Top 3 Lineup order: Betts, Ohtani, Freeman,” Dodgers reporter David Vassegh tweeted.

Ohtani
Freeman— David Vassegh (@THEREAL_DV) February 27, 2024
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has stated that he likes Freeman hitting third, protecting Ohtani in the lineup.
To be completely fair and honest, those three can be arranged in any order and the results will be very similar: they are all stars in their prime of their abilities, ready to post some historic numbers.
The batting order has some more juice after those three.
When everyone is healthy and available, they can field Will Smith, Max Muncy, Gavin Lux, Chris Taylor, Jason Heyward, and James Outman in addition to the trio of legends.
It’s a thoroughly impressive collection of talent.
The Dodgers’ brass made an effort to put the organization in a position to succeed in the postseason.
Winning 100+ games in the regular season hasn’t been the issue: it’s finding ways to perform in October that has held the Dodgers back in the last three seasons.
With Ohtani joining the squad, however, they hope they can increase their chances of being competitive in the playoffs.
