The Atlanta Braves are looking to continue their regular-season dominance in 2024.
The Braves have consistently been one of the best teams in baseball over the last few seasons.
They have won the NL East in six consecutive seasons and look poised to do it again this year.
One reason they are always successful is because of player acquisition.
The Braves are never afraid to make a big trade or a big signing in free agency.
This offseason they made a solid move to add to their pitching depth.
Atlanta acquired Chris Sale from the Boston Red Sox.
Sale made his Braves debut in on Tuesday and looked in regular-season form.
According to B/R Walk-Off, Sale threw two perfect innings with four strikeouts.

Sale has battled numerous injuries throughout his career.
He has not thrown over 158 innings in a season since 2017.
Last season, he only pitched 102.2 innings for the Red Sox with an ERA of 4.30.
While he is well past his prime, Sale should still be a solid middle-of-the-rotation pitcher.
Sale is tough to hit because of his arm slot from the left side.
He makes at-bats difficult on lefties and is known for his patented slider.
The chances Sale is healthy for the full season are not great.
But, if he can find a way to consistently stay on the mound the Braves may have the best rotation in baseball this year.
Regular-season success is great but the Braves have lost to the Phillies in the NLDS in back-to-back years.
They hope the addition of Sale will help them go deeper in the playoffs.
