The Minnesota Twins are hoping to repeat as AL Central champions this season.
The Central is one of the weakest divisions in baseball and the Twins have everything necessary to repeat.
But, they need to have some luck in the health department.
A few of their players seem to always find themselves on the injured list.
One of those players is outfielder Byron Buxton.
Buxton has all the ability to be an MVP candidate.
But, he can never seem to stay healthy.
This year, Buxton is healthy and ready to resume center field duties.
According to Do-Hyoung Park, Buxton will be in center field on Tuesday for the first time since August 22, 2022.
But here is the highly anticipated Twins lineup, with “CF” next to Byron Buxton’s name for the first time since Aug. 22, 2022:
1. Castro LF
2. Buxton CF
3. Correa SS
4. Lewis 3B
5. Farmer 2B
6. Kepler RF
7. Jeffers C
8. Vázquez DH
9. Kirilloff 1BDuarte RHP

Due to injuries, Buxton was only able to DH last season.
But, even doing that only lasted for 85 games.
Buxton has only played over 100 games once in his nine-year career.
All the Twins can hope is that this year will be the second time he does it.
When in center field, Buxton is a true difference-maker.
He has an elite glove which is helped out by having some of the best speed in the big leagues.
Buxton will be 30 years old for the entire 2024 season.
Having him in the lineup will be the best thing for the Twins.
But, counting on him to play a full season would be foolish.
It will be interesting to see how the Twins perform this year, as anything short of an AL Central title will be a disappointment.
But, they have some young players like Royce Lewis who they are hoping will step up.
If they can remain healthy, the Twins have a chance to do great things this season.
