The New England Patriots are going to look vastly different once the 2024 NFL season rolls around.
Gone is former head coach Bill Belichick and in comes new head coach Jerod Mayo and a new coaching staff to lead a roster that needs a lot of work this offseason.
After finishing last in the AFC East in 2023, New England will be busy over the next couple of months figuring out which players to keep and what positions they need to address in free agency and the draft.
At this juncture, there aren’t too many players on the Patriots roster that are worth long-term investments, especially now that a new regime is in place.
However, there are a couple of players that look like keepers on both sides of the field and Eliot Wolf will be responsible for figuring out ways to keep them.
In fact, Wolf highlighted Mike Onwenu and Kyle Dugger as two players New England would like to keep via NBC Sports.
“Mike [Onwenu’s] a core player for us. It’s no secret … we definitely want to keep Mike and Kyle [Dugger],” Wolf said.

Both Onwenu and Dugger are set to become free agents, and Wolf made it loud and clear that the organization would like to keep those two.
New England’s offensive line was one of the worst in the league, but Onwenu was a bright spot at the guard position.
Meanwhile, Dugger was a solid safety and would go a long way in ensuring that the secondary remains up to the Patriots’ standard.
