With the 2024 NFL Draft less than two months away on April 25, all the speculation right now surrounds the Chicago Bears and what the storied franchise will do with the No. 1 overall pick.
At this point, all signs point to the team trading star quarterback Justin Fields, paving the way for the team to bring in USC superstar quarterback Caleb Williams, who is arguably the most talented player in the upcoming draft.
Williams is getting a lot of buzz as one of the most talented quarterbacks to come out of the college game in recent memory, with Nick Wright of FOX Sports on First Things First going as far as to say he’s the best prospect or the closest to perfect as Andrew Luck was coming out of Stanford.
That’s a pretty bold claim, but many seem to be in agreement that the Trojans superstar will be the next big thing on the NFL level.
“Caleb Williams is as close to a perfect prospect as we’ve had since Andrew Luck,” Wright said.

Over the next few weeks, Williams will be evaluated over and over again as analysts look at his potential and skill set and try to determine whether the Bears should take a chance on him or stick with Fields moving forward.
As of right now, it seems like only a matter of time until the Bears publicly state that they intend to trade Fields, with every intention after that being to draft Williams out of the University of Southern California and build around him as their new franchise player under center.
