Unlike what happened last year, the Chicago Bears are likely to use their No. 1 pick to get a quarterback this time around.
Some analysts believe the Bears should move that pick to get several assets and build around Justin Fields, but the consensus seems to be that they should take Caleb Williams, who has been deemed a generational talent and has drawn Patrick Mahomes like comparisons.
Nonetheless, former NFL quarterback turned analyst Dan Orlovsky doesn’t agree with that notion.
Talking on ESPN’s Get Up, the former Detroit Lion stated that the Bears should use that pick on Jayden Daniels.
“If I were the Chicago Bears right now I would take Jayden Daniels out of LSU,” Orlovsky said.

He explained that the LSU product has the best game in the pocket, is the best passer, and has an offense that translates better to the National Football League than any other quarterback in this class.
He wanted to make it loud and clear that he didn’t mean to take a shot at Caleb Williams by any means; he just thinks that Daniels is the better player.
Needless to say, this could be considered a bit of a hot take, as Williams is one of the most hyped and anticipated prospects of all time.
Then again, he does have a point in terms of Daniels being a legitimate dual-threat quarterback with superstar potential, and he did find more success at the collegiate level.
There’s nothing certain when it comes to the NFL Draft, but it’ll be interesting to see how this take ages once it’s all said and done and both players have ended their careers.
