The Indianapolis Colts will be on the clock with the No. 15 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.
That might not be high enough to get one of the best tight-end prospects of all time, but they could definitely try.
Georgia star Brock Bowers will be sought-after come draft day, and it seems like he wouldn’t mind taking his talents to Indy.
Talking at the NFL Scouting Combine, he admitted to being a fan of Anthony Richardson, stating that he’s a baller’ and a big dude and freak athlete who made things difficult for the Bulldogs’ elite defense (via Mike Chappell).
Yes, Georgia TE Brock Bowers has met with Colts. And he’s a huge Anthony Richardson fan.
‘I just remember him being just a freak athlete. Big dude. He was tough to bring down for our defense. He’s a baller.’— Mike Chappell (@mchappell51) February 29, 2024
Bowers has been deemed one of the most polished TE prospects of all time, and he looked NFL-ready a couple of years ago.
His ability to block is only topped by his reliable hands and big-play threat in the open field, showing shades of Rob Gronkowski and Travis Kelce.
The Colts already have a promising team with a solid defense, and coach Shane Steichen left some good impressions in his first year on the job.
The same can be said of Richardson, who excelled as a dual-threat when he was able to play, albeit his season was cut short due to multiple injuries.
Richardson could become one of the most exciting players to watch for years to come, and giving him an elite pass-catcher like Bowers could do wonders for his development.
He’s already given them a green light to approach him, so they can only hope he falls right into their laps at No. 15.
