The 2024 NFL Draft is rapidly approaching, and if the prospective draftees live up to the hype, this could be one of the most impressive classes in recent history.
Marquee players are at several positions, some of the most notable being quarterback, wide receiver, and offensive line.
While all three positions are commonly discussed amongst analysts, the cornerback position tends to fall by the wayside.
Many projections and mock drafts suggest that there could be several CBs taken in the first round, as this is a strong cornerback class in the eyes of many.
Chase Daniel recently sat down with the NFL Total Access crew, where he outlined his favorite CB in the class.
Daniel spoke highly of Clemson CB Nate Wiggins, saying, “This dude should be at the top of the cornerback draft.”

Daniel looks forward to seeing how Wiggins performs at the Combine and whether his 40-yard dash time will align with what he expects.
Wiggins is said to run a 40-yard dash in under 4.3 seconds, which would immediately vault him into elite territory.
The cornerback position has evolved mightily over the years, especially since the NFL has become a pass-happy league.
While the running game is still a part of offenses, it is hard for NFL teams to compete with the other elite units across the league without a solid passing attack.
With the increase of passing in NFL offenses, having elite cornerbacks is something that defenses have placed a higher emphasis on.
Will the 2024 draft see multiple first-round cornerbacks if this continues to be the case?
