There is a growing trend in the NFL’s Combine.
More and more quarterbacks are deciding not to throw at the Combine, electing to save their throws for their Pro Days.
Some prospects decide to throw at both, but many seem to choose this new ideology when it comes to this year’s top options.
Jayden Daniels announced that he would only throw at his Pro Day, but his rationale for his decision was unknown at the time.
He recently revealed his feelings, as reporter Brent Sobleski indicates.
When discussing his reasoning, Daniels said, “It wasn’t about me. It’s about my teammates.”

Daniels believes that it is in the best interest of his LSU teammates to throw at the Pro Day exclusively.
Having Daniels throw to some of the best prospective receivers and tight ends could be the best thing for their potential draft stock.
Daniels is familiar with all of these pass-catchers.
Rather than LSU bringing in a new quarterback to throw at their Pro Day, Daniels will be the one throwing to them.
Several LSU athletes are slated to be Day 1 or Day 2 picks in this year’s draft, and with this in mind, they will likely put their best foot forward, especially in front of scouts and other front-office personnel.
How many LSU alums will end up getting drafted this year?
Daniels and Malik Nabers are slated to be taken in the first round, but plenty of other players could put together a robust Pro Day and bolster their draft stock.
