MLB, Nike, and Fanatics have all been in the middle of the storm the past few days.
MLB uniforms for the season, designed by Nike and manufactured by Fanatics as part of a three-way agreement, have been heavily criticized by fans all over the world.
Everybody has pointed out that the quality of the fabrics and the design is not ideal.
The pants have also been blasted, as they are see-through and some players have expressed how uncomfortable they feel.
In that regard, Chris Rose spoke with Boston Red Sox pitcher Lucas Giolito about the uniforms on his most recent podcast.
Giolito made a full review, from how they feel to how they look, as uploaded by Talkin’ Baseball:
“They don’t look good. There is stitching coming out, the letters are really small. Everyone says they feel cheap,” he said.

It’s a pretty thorough explanation from a player’s perspective.
Rose then asked him if the league was trying to market the game differently.
“Make baseball sexual again,” Giolito replied, obviously joking around.
So far, Nike and Fanatics have been open to hearing the complaints, but as far as doing something about them goes, they don’t seem very inclined or eager.
