The Baltimore Orioles have to be thrilled with where their franchise is heading.
After many years of being one of the worst teams in baseball, the Orioles have finally returned to the top of MLB.
Last season, they won 100 games and had the best record in the American League.
But, they got swept in their first playoff series, and that showed their inexperience.
Even with a postseason defeat, the future of the Orioles may be the brightest in the sport.
They have some of the top young players in baseball on their team.
Also, they have a few of the top prospects in baseball who have yet to make their MLB debut.
The Orioles have the number one prospect in baseball in Jackson Holliday, who has yet to debut.
But, he is not the only one making an impact this spring.
One player who is turning heads is Colton Cowser.
According to MLB Pipeline, Cowser has hit three home runs in 14 plate appearances this spring.
His most recent was this 372-foot blast.

Cowser is the 19th-ranked prospect in baseball, and he debuted last season.
His first trip to the big leagues was not a successful one.
He batted .115 in 26 major league games.
But, at only 23 years old the future is still bright for the outfielder.
It will be interesting to see what the Orioles do with Cowser this year, as he could make the Opening Day roster.
But, it might make more sense for him to start the year in Triple-A and build his confidence.
The Orioles should be very good for many years to come, and Cowser should be one reason why.
