The Denver Broncos will part ways with Russell Wilson.
His two-year stint at Mile High was far from successful, and he was often the fall guy for everything that went wrong.
Wilson’s numbers took a significant dip from his days with the Seattle Seahawks, but he was hardly the sole one responsible for the Broncos’ struggles.
He should still have plenty left in the tank, and while he’s no longer the player he used to be, he should be far from done in this league.
Considering that, NFL analyst Colin Cowherd claimed that he should be the Pittsburgh Steelers’ primary target.
Talking on The Volume, Cowherd argued that if they’re a .500 team with Kenny Pickett, they would obviously be better with Russell Wilson.
“They’re a .500 team at best with Kenny Pickett,” Cowherd said.

He believes that he would bring a level of maturity their skill players are lacking right now, not to mention the fact that he would benefit from their offensive line.
Truth be told, the Pittsburgh Steelers don’t even need a top-notch quarterback to be significantly better.
The Steelers are well-coached and have one of the best defenses in the game, and having someone who doesn’t turn the ball over could do wonders for them.
Even so, the latest reports state that the Steelers want to give Pickett another chance to prove his worth, this time under a new offensive coordinator.
Should that happen, Wilson wouldn’t have that many opportunities to stay a starter in this league, if any at all.
