The Dallas Cowboys have fielded many questions about Dak Prescott over the years.
While he has left plenty to be desired when it matters the most, he’s still better than a lot of the starting QBs in the league.
Considering that, signing him to a contract extension should be a no-brainer.
That’s why he recently stated that he’s very confident in his ability to get a deal done with the organization.
Talking at his Children’s Cancer Fund event, Prescott stated, “It helps with the team and it helps with the numbers…Everything is great. It’ll happen.”

Most reports state that he’s going to set a new record for the highest-paid player in NFL history, with a salary that could match or exceed $60 million per year.
Needless to say, that’s where things get tricky, as he would be making more money than bona fide players, superstars, and proven winners, but that’s just the way the market moves in sports.
Prescott’s deal could look very bad at first but become a bargain a couple of years down the line, especially if the salary cap continues to rise like it has this season.
