The Denver Broncos will finally release Russell Wilson.
They still have to pay him a lot of money not to play for them.
This is the end of a dark tenure for the former Super Bowl champion, a guy who didn’t get the praise and respect he deserved from the very second he arrived in Mile High.
Moreover, it seemed like Sean Payton never really wanted him there, and there was a bit of a power struggle between them.
That’s why NFL analyst Craig Carton believes Wilson should join the Las Vegas Raiders.
“If I’m Russell Wilson, I want to get back at Sean Payton. Sean Payton embarrassed me. If I can face him twice a year and beat him, the Raiders might be where I wanna go,” Carton said.

Talking on The Carton Show, he explained that it would obviously make sense for the Raiders as a team, as they wouldn’t have to pay him that much money, they would get to use their first-round pick on another position, and he’d be an upgrade over Aidan O’Connell.
On top of that, he would get the chance to get back at Sean Payton and face him twice a year.
Carton stated that if Wilson still has any competitive fire left, he just cannot miss the opportunity to beat Payton two times a season.
Truth be told, Russell Wilson is no longer the player he used to be.
Then again, that doesn’t mean he’s done.
Wilson is still a guy who won’t turn the ball over and will extend plays, and the Raiders won games with O’Connell and Jimmy Garoppolo at the helm, so they can definitely win with him.
