The Denver Broncos have finally informed Russell Wilson that they’re about to release him.
The Broncos will take a massive cap hit and spend a lot of money for Wilson not to play for them.
His two-year stint in Mile High has led to plenty of criticism and mockery, and some believe he’s no longer a starter in the National Football League.
That’s why former NFL QB Robert Griffin III took to ESPN’s Get Up to demand some respect for his colleague.
“Bottom line is Russell Wilson is a starting quarterback in the NFL. He’s easily a top 20 quarterback in the NFL,” Griffin said.

Griffin III stated that he’s sick and tired of all the disrespect Wilson is getting right now, stating that he’s definitely a top-20 quarterback in the league.
He talked about his numbers in Denver and showed he had one of the best touchdown-to-interception ratios in the game despite not being put in a good position.
Griffin III is now looking forward to watching Wilson prove that he’s still got more than enough left in the tank for the next three or five years, but he believes it’s about time people give him the recognition he’s earned as a future Hall of Famer.
It’s sad to see a player like Russell Wilson going out like this.
Even if he were done, which he isn’t, he’s much better than people give him credit for, and while this is a cruel business, he doesn’t deserve this kind of treatment.
