With the NFL Scouting Combine already in the record books, some prospects have risen drastically in most mock drafts and big boards.
That’s the case with Michigan star QB JJ McCarthy, who’s performance at the combine left some great impressions.
Some reports also state that scouts are more fond of him now that they’ve watched more of his tape.
Considering that, former NFL quarterback and college football star Robert Griffin III believes he’s definitely worth a top-10 pick.
Talking on ESPN’s Get Up, the Heisman trophy winner pointed out the fact that McCarthy ran the football 25 times and threw it well over one hundred times against ranked teams, yet he didn’t turn the ball over once.
“I think he’s worthy of a top-ten pick and he can do great things in the NFL,” Griffin said.
.@RGIII likes what he sees from J.J. McCarthy

He also believes he’s a much better athlete than people give him credit for, not to mention a proven winner already.
McCarthy led the Michigan Wolverines to a 27-1 record during his days as a starter.
His coachability and work ethic have been some strong points as well, and he’s currently considered to be the fourth-best quarterback prospect in this stacked quarterback class.
He doesn’t seem to have the same upside as, say, Drake Maye, Jayden Daniels, or Caleb Williams, but he could make an immediate impact at the next level.
So, with teams like the New York Giants and Atlanta Falcons picking in the top ten, it wouldn’t be so shocking to see him getting the nod early in the first round, especially if he keeps climbing the ladder.
