The Seattle Seahawks now have two major holes to fill in their secondary.
Tom Pelissero of NFL Network is reporting that Seattle is cutting a pair of 3-time Pro Bowlers, Jamal Adams and Quandre Diggs.
The Seahawks will save $27.5 million after releasing them and have plenty of cap space to begin new head coach Mike Macdonald’s tenure, per Pelissero.

Diggs has been in Seattle for five years and has started every game over the past four seasons.
He had 18 interceptions in his five seasons in Seattle and now heads into free agency at 31 years old looking for what will likely be his last big multi-year deal.
Adams was much more disappointing throughout his tenure in Seattle, where injuries and instability will be his Seahawks legacy.
Adams put up 9.5 sacks in 12 games in his first season as a Seahawk, but has played just 10 games over the past two years and has been a liability in coverage.
Seattle traded two first-round picks for Adams in 2020 and immediately made him the highest-paid safety in the NFL.
The safety position has become less of a priority for teams in recent years, so Seattle will now be able to commit less money to the position and shift their focus elsewhere.
