The Atlanta Braves have one of the top pitchers in baseball heading into the 2024 season.
The early favorite to win the NL Cy Young is Spencer Strider.
The Braves have done a great job developing many of their pitching prospects.
Over the past few seasons, Strider has emerged as one of the best pitchers in baseball.
He is known for being a hard thrower but also has some devastating off-speed stuff.
So far this spring he has opened some eyes with his stats.
According to Justin Felder, Strider has made three appearances so far.
He has thrown nine innings with zero earned runs allowed and 13 strikeouts.
From our folks in FL, here’s a look at some of Spencer Strider’s dominant Spring Training outing today.

Strider looks in mid-season form already.
He will be one of the main reasons for the Braves’ success this upcoming season.
While you cannot put much into spring stats, it is always good to see positive results when on the mound.
But, the ability of Strider during the regular season has never been in question.
It has been the playoffs the last two years where Strider has struggled.
In three career postseason starts, he is 0-3 with a 5.40 ERA.
Both playoff series Strider has pitched in have resulted in losses for the Braves.
So no matter how he pitches in the regular season, his playoff performance will be how he is judged.
The Braves are on the shortlist of teams that can win the National League.
Right now, it looks like the Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers are the two best teams.
Having Strider at his best throughout the regular season and into the playoffs could push the Braves over the top.
