The New York Jets entered the season as the most hyped and talked-about team in the NFL — and perhaps in all major sports.
Adding Aaron Rodgers to the mix put them in a privileged position, one they hadn’t been in for decades.
Likewise, losing him so early in the year pretty much doomed their season, or so most people think.
Recently, Rodgers hinted at the possibility of coming back from his Achilles injury this very same season, which would be almost unprecedented.
With that in mind, former Super Bowl champion Willie Colon urged him to just stay at home and continue working on his rehab.
In the latest edition of The Carton Show, Colon stated that he didn’t want to see Rodgers in the facility or on the sidelines, and asked him to just humble himself and get ready for next season.
“I don’t want to see Aaron Rodgers back in the building. I don’t want to see him on the sidelines. I want to see him well-rested and humbled and ready to go.”

Of course, this could be a bit of a controversial matter.
On one hand, having Rodgers there could be a bit of a distraction, on the other hand, he could also provide his knowledge and insight and be an extra source of motivation.
What the Jets — and even himself — cannot afford is to rush him back into action.
If the Jets manage to find themselves in playoff contention with Zach Wilson behind center, then so be it.
If not, then he needs to take care of his body and make sure to be back to 100% when it’s his turn to take the reins next season.
He’s not getting any younger, and we’re talking about a major and potentially career-altering injury.
