The Chicago Bears finally won their first game of the 2023 season, breaking a 14-game losing streak.
This victory was unexpected by many, as the Washington Commanders were favored by nearly a touchdown.
While there were many positive aspects of this game, the combination of D.J. Moore and Justin Fields proved to be the difference.
This duo was a popular conversation on social media during this game, garnering the attention of many, including LeBron James.
James said Fields and Moore were “going crazy right now,” an indication of their monster performance.

Fields finished the game with 282 passing yards and four touchdown passes.
While he had been criticized early on in the season, Fields has started to turn his year around.
This performance against the Washington Commanders showed that he’s more than an athletic rusher, and that he can pass efficiently as well.
A large piece of Fields’ big night was Moore, who ended the evening with eight receptions, which he turned into 230 yards and three touchdowns.
This was not only Moore’s biggest game with the Bears, but the best statistical performance of his career.
Moore was brought over to the Bears during the offseason, a piece sent from the Carolina Panthers for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 draft.
While this was seen as a positive at the time, Moore had not been fully utilized during the Bears’ first four games.
With this breakout performance in mind, Moore will be hungry to keep this momentum going with Fields for the rest of the season.
