Quarterback Russell Wilson made headlines at the start of free agency by signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers for the veteran minimum of $1.2 million.
The reception has been overwhelmingly positive so far as the Steelers now have a veteran leading the offense, and Wilson joined in the positivity today in response to another big signing his new team made.
Pittsburgh snagged former Baltimore Ravens inside linebacker Patrick Queen for three years and $41 million, to which Russ simply reacted by posting, “QUEEEEENNN!”

Inside linebackers are a bit of a dying breed compared to what they used to be, but Queen is one of the best in the business.
The 24-year-old leaves the rival Ravens after four years, where he played in every single game.
Queen made a career-high 133 tackles in 2023 to go along with 3.5 sacks, a fumble, a fumble recovery, and an interception en route to being named a second-team All-Pro and a Pro Bowl selection for the first time.
Many considered Queen the top inside linebacker on the market, as he has blossomed into a legitimate force over the past couple of years after a rough start to his career where he missed tackles and was a liability in coverage.
It was uncertain if Queen would stay in Baltimore long-term after the team traded for Roquan Smith in 2022.
Teams don’t often elect to spend big money on middle linebackers, let alone two on the same roster.
Wilson and Queen are now set to have plenty of battles in practice, as Pittsburgh’s new defensive quarterback will likely step right in as the captain of this Steelers defense.
