Heading into NFL free agency, the league had a ton of talent at the wide receiver position that could change teams, and if those players didn’t change teams, the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft is full of talented players at wideout that teams could show interest in.
Arguably, the top player available at the wide receiver position heading into the free-agency period was veteran wideout Calvin Ridley of the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Ridley resurrected his career catching passes from Trevor Lawrence in Jacksonville last season after serving a year-long suspension for violating the league’s gambling policy.
With Ridley showing he could still be one of the top receivers in the league, he was bound to get interest from teams around the league in free agency, but the consensus was that he’d return to Jacksonville.
Earlier in the week, a report surfaced that it was down to the Jaguars and New England Patriots for Ridley, but on Wednesday, he sent shockwaves throughout the league by signing a four-year deal with the Tennessee Titans, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

This is a massive payday for a player who was once thought to have his promising young career come to an end prematurely after betting on games.
Fortunately for Ridley, he was able to get his career back on track and earned a lucrative long-term deal of $92 million while sharing the field with DeAndre Hopkins and becoming another downfield target for quarterback Will Levis, who now has a stacked receiving corps after losing head coach Mike Vrabel and star running back Derrick Henry.
