The Atlanta Falcons have taken a unique approach to the NFL Draft over the past three seasons.
During this time, they have taken skill-position players with their first-round picks despite not having a solid franchise quarterback to complement them.
After drafting Kyle Pitts, Drake London, and Bijan Robinson recently, many expected the Falcons to have a high-flying offense.
While they haven’t reached that point with these players, the addition of Kirk Cousins at quarterback might help them get there.
Cousins has reportedly already communicated with several of these players, including Pitts, who wears No. 8.
As Ari Meirov reported, Pitts asked Cousins about the jersey number, as both have worn it throughout their NFL careers.
Cousins reportedly told Pitts that he “won’t just take the number,” but if he does get it, he will “write a check” to a charity of his choosing.
#Falcons QB Kirk Cousins said he’d write a check or make some sort of donation to get the No. 8 from Kyle Pitts.

Pitts seems to care little about money or the jersey but would like to see more targets on the field.
The Falcons invested in Pitts for a reason.
He was the highest-drafted tight end of all time, but for whatever reason, the organization hasn’t utilized him to his fullest capacity to this point in his career.
There is excitement building about the pairing of Cousins and Pitts, as many believe that Cousins will help unlock Pitts into a brilliant player.
Cousins has supported tight ends well throughout his career, especially T.J. Hockenson in his final two seasons in Minnesota.
Will Pitts finally have his breakout season in 2024, one that fans have been waiting for over the past three years?
