The Chicago Bears are in a tough spot with Justin Fields right now.
There’s reportedly little interest in the Ohio State product, and his trade value has plummeted significantly.
Some believe that the Bears could be leaning towards keeping Fields and having him as Caleb Wiliams’ backup, while others think they could be tempted to move the No. 1 pick.
That’s why NFL analyst Domonique Foxworth wants to make sure that the Bears get it right this time.
Talking on ESPN’s Get Up, he urged the Bears to go all-in on the USC product and do whatever it takes to make things work.
“I also don’t want to devalue the highest asset that’s been in the draft in years in Caleb Williams. … And if that costs me a second-round pick, so da** be it,” Foxworth said.

He stated that the chances of the two young quarterbacks coexisting and it turning out well are pretty slim, so the Bears must get rid of Fields, even if that means losing a trade or getting little value in return.
He doesn’t want to see the Bears devalue one of the most valuable assets in recent NFL Draft history, and he thinks they cannot have anything getting in the way of Williams’ development.
That’s a tough pill to swallow, but it actually makes plenty of sense.
The Bears have never had an elite quarterback in the history of their franchise.
GMs don’t want to lose trades or transactions, and giving up a former first-round pick in return for a sixth-round pick could be a brutal blow, especially if Fields breaks out somewhere else.
Then again, the Bears could land a generational talent, so they must do everything they can to protect him.
