Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones claimed that he would go ‘all-in’ in the offseason.
It’s been three days since free agency started, and it seems like going all-in was just signing LB Eric Kendricks.
The Cowboys lost Tony Pollard in free agency.
And while he was quite underwhelming as the alpha runner in Arlington, they failed to replace him with anybody else.
As of now, their RB depth chart consists of Deuce Vaughn, Malik Davis, and Snoop Conner, and that doesn’t bode well for a team that clearly cannot trust it’s starting quarterback to do all — or most — of the heavy lifting.
That’s why team legend Michael Irvin admitted to being quite disappointed.
In the latest edition of Undisputed, the former star wide receiver stated that the team desperately needed ‘a hammer,’ adding that Derrick Henry was that hammer.
“I wanted a HAMMER and Derrick Henry is that hammer,” Irvin said.

He stated that Henry would play with anger and with plenty of motivation, especially considering that he didn’t have any guaranteed money beyond the first year of his contract.
Henry signed a two-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens, and it didn’t take a lot of money to get him, so he could’ve been a feasible target for Jerry Jones.
D’Andre Swift, Austin Ekeler, Josh Jacobs, Aaron Jones, Antonio Gibson, Saquon Barkley, Gus Edwards, and Joe Mixon have all found new homes, so the Cowboys don’t have many options — if any — at this point in free agency.
Turns out that going all-in wasn’t as easy as it seemed, and this team won’t get much better in the offseason.
