The Indianapolis Colts have a new quarterback on the roster.
Joe Flacco will take his talents to Indy to mentor Anthony Richardson and maybe even take the field a couple of times next season.
This was a bit of a shocking move to most NFL fans.
Notably, it was also surprising for Flacco himself.
Talking on “The Pat McAfee Show,” the veteran quarterback admitted that he had absolutely no idea where he was going to end up.
He said that he was just watching everything unfold with his wife and saw all the quarterbacks getting signed while he was still waiting for anything to happen.
“I was watching all these other QBs get signed and I’m going to my wife what the hell is going on..
That’s mostly what was going through my mind and I was just waiting to see what happened” ~ @JoeFlacco #PMSLive pic.twitter.com/ZvgVrpaOPX

Flacco wanted to get back with the Cleveland Browns, but they didn’t make him an offer.
That was a major surprise, considering his great play that led them to the playoffs and helped him salvage his career with an AP Comeback Player of the Year performance.
The Philadelphia Eagles and New Orleans Saints were also reportedly interested in his services, but the Colts won the race for the former Super Bowl champion.
This might be the end of the line for the former Baltimore Ravens star.
He’s 39 years old already, and he’ll be playing for a team looking to build around a young and promising quarterback.
Hopefully, if this is the end of the road for him, he’ll get at least one opportunity to play again and walk away from the game on his own terms, and not just because no team wanted to give him a chance.
