During the 2023 NFL season, the Dallas Cowboys were one of the best all-around teams in the league, as America’s Team was stacked with talent on both sides of the football, and star quarterback Dak Prescott had one of his best seasons yet, which put him in the MVP conversation.
Unfortunately, despite an inspired performance throughout the regular season, the Cowboys fell flat in the NFL playoffs, with the upstart Green Bay Packers coming into AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and putting on a show against the second-seeded squad led by Prescott.
As a result of another disappointing meltdown in the postseason, the Cowboys were expected to make some drastic changes during the offseason, especially once NFL free agency got underway this month.
However, Dallas has been one of the quietest teams in free agency thus far, as Jerry Jones and company haven’t been aggressive in their efforts to improve their squad this offseason.
With the Cowboys not making any substantial splashes in free agency, Skip Bayless of FOX Sports has come out and pointed the finger at Jones for the team’s issues moving forward via The Skip Bayless Show.
“Jerry Jones is what is ultimately wrong with my Dallas Cowboys,” Bayless said.

If Jones can be blamed for anything during his time as Cowboys owner, it is that he can be incredibly stubborn and sometimes leans a little too heavily on the same quarterback and head coach, which seems to be what he’s doing at the moment.
Even though Prescott is a talented quarterback, he doesn’t seem to be the answer the team is looking for at quarterback, as he can’t get it done in the playoffs.
The same can be said for head coach Mike McCarthy, who has clear limitations to what he can do coaching on the sidelines.
However, Jones continues to stick by these two and refuses to make changes.
