After an incredible run during the 2022 NFL season, which resulted in an appearance in the Super Bowl, in which Jalen Hurts and company gave the Kansas City Chiefs all they could handle, the Philadelphia Eagles were thought to be a legitimate force to be reckoned last season.
In the first 11 games of the 2023 campaign, the Eagles were a force to be reckoned with, with the team only losing one game in that stretch, as they resembled the team that had dominated the competition in the NFC the previous year.
However, that’s when things started to fall apart for Philadelphia, as the team simply couldn’t put it together after that point on either side of the football, which led to the team limping into the NFL playoffs and getting crushed by Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round.
With the Eagles losing in spectacular fashion to the Buccaneers in the postseason, many expected to see some drastic changes on the horizon during the NFL offseason, with head coach Nick Sirianni potentially losing his job.
Although there seemed to be some buzz about Sirianni’s job being in danger, the team made it clear that he’ll be returning for the 2024 campaign, but there’s no question he’s on the hot seat, especially with Philadelphia being aggressive in free agency, which Darius Butler pointed out on Up & Adams with Kay Adams.
“Nick Sirianni is definitely on the clock with the moves that (Howie Roseman) made,” Butler said.

There’s no question that if the Eagles fail to live up to expectations during the 2024 NFL season Sirianni will be the fall guy, as he’ll have a talented squad to work with once again.
The addition of star running back Saquon Barkley certainly makes the team that much more intimidating on the offensive side of the football.
