The Toronto Blue Jays are one AL East team that no one seems to be talking about.
Last season, they finished 89-73 and were a Wild Card team in the AL.
But, their postseason appearance ended quickly without any success.
The Blue Jays were swept in the first round by the Minnesota Twins.
Still, the Blue Jays have been one of the most consistent teams in baseball over the past three years.
With win totals of 89, 92, and 91 they are hoping for similar success this year.
One player who can help them get to that level is veteran first baseman Joey Votto.
He was recently signed by the Blue Jays to a minor league deal with an invite to big league camp.
According to Jayson Stark, Votto will make his Blue Jays debut on Sunday against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Another Blue Jays update:
Joey Votto will play his first game as a Blue Jay on Sunday in Clearwater against the Phillies.

Votto is 40 years old and he is well past his prime, but he has shown a power stroke in recent years.
Last season, in only 65 games, Votto hit 14 home runs.
Back in 2021, we saw the lefty hit 36 home runs.
At this point in his career, Votto may best be used as a designated hitter.
If he makes the Opening Day roster, he could be a part-time player for Toronto.
Playing in Toronto must be a dream for Votto.
He is from Canada and now gets to play in his home country.
Votto playing well in this short spring training stint is vital to his chances of making the roster.
We rarely see players have success in their 40s, but maybe Votto will be the outlier.
