The New York Yankees are not great at managing information about injuries.
They constantly say one thing and do an entirely different one, and they are no strangers to hiding important facts.
Since Sunday, they have done some of these things with Aaron Judge.
They didn’t report the fact that Aaron Judge got hurt on Sunday, they didn’t inform the fact that he underwent an MRI until a couple of days later, and they reported some steps in Judge’s recovery that aren’t being met.
“Aaron Judge will ‘probably not’ play tomorrow, Aaron Boone said. Boone added that Judge has ‘plenty of runway’ to be ready for Opening Day,” Yankees insider Bryan Hoch tweeted.

Since mid-week, the Yankees have been saying that the plan was for Judge to take some swings on Friday and then play on Saturday.
Now, we know that Judge didn’t take batting practice on the field, but reportedly did it in the cage.
And now he is not playing tomorrow.
It’s not clear if the Yankees are hiding an injury to their captain or just being extremely cautious, but the constant change of plans confuses the press and angers fans.
It’s definitely something that they, as an organization, should improve because it can be frustrating.
Fans don’t know to this date if Judge will actually be available for March 28, even though the player himself has constantly repeated that he will be there.
It’s just hard to trust them at this point, and we will have to wait until he is really back to be sure.
